The head of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine Sytnyk announced a new suspected case of embezzlement of public funds in implementation of the project “the Wall”.
This Sytnik said in an interview with “Radio Liberty”.
“This case started a long time ago. And in fact, detectives, prosecutors investigated the so-called sections of the wall. Although it is a little reminiscent of the wall, that was built there. The investigation was conducted by comparing what is actually done and what is written in the acts of work. A very large part of the work was not confirmed. According to those individuals which have been gathered evidence, was conducted the arrest and announced suspicion. But I think that this is not the last suspect in the case. Because we have not all the parts of this wall was investigated,” — said Sytnik.
Sitnic also confirmed that the number of defendants in the “case Wall” may rise.
Recall, August 11, Solomenskiy district court of Kyiv has arrested four more persons involved in the embezzlement of public funds during implementation of the project “the Wall”.
