In the framework of the fight against the shadow economy, the economic development Ministry and the Finance Ministry are considering the idea of limiting the sale of cars, apartments and luxury items for cash.
The amount above which payment in cash is prohibited, is not yet generated. The idea can include of a plan to increase the pace of growth to 2024.
Another initiative on restriction of cash turnover became municipal tax — it will be different depending on whether a person pays by cash or by card. An alternative to this proposal is called the reduced VAT for non-cash payments.
President of the Association “Russian car dealers” Oleg Moseev noted that the dealers prefer cash, not to spend money on processing credit cards.
Officially, the economic development Ministry and the Finance Ministry has not commented on initiatives to limit cash flow.
