The state budget for 2017 envisages an increase in the inflation rate of 8.1 percent.
The government managed to contain hyperinflation, which was in 2014-2015 This opinion was expressed by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko in the “Prime Evening” on TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
“Let’s face the fact that to date the price increase is, but not as catastrophic and at a frantic pace, as it was objectively later. First and foremost, because of the military action. The government was then in a difficult situation. We see today that such growth anymore. Inflation, hyperinflation today, in my opinion, overcome,” – said Rozenko.
Earlier, the world Bank (WB) has lowered its forecast of inflation in Ukraine in 2017 up to 10%.
