Anna Bakran traveling with virtually no money.

34-year-old Anna Bakran alone hitched 25 countries, from his native Croatia to the island of Bora Bora in French Polynesia. In the way she spent three years and eight months. The woman picked up cars, trucks, motorcycles, ferries, sailing boats, fishing boats and even a helicopter, and in Kyrgyzstan it a saddled horse. Anna slept in churches, on the carpet in mosques, parks and houses of local residents. Several times she would suffer from the drivers, but nothing happened.

In 2013, Anna resigned from the company, engaged in Internet marketing, and I challenged myself to travel the world, spending as little money as possible. A journey she described in the blog. A woman says she used to “sleep on the go: On the beaches, gas stations, mosques and temples, in cheap motels and in the homes of countless local residents, who invited me to come. I’m not too picky when tired. Most importantly, feel safe.”

During the trip Anna slept on the floor with 63 orphans in Thailand, on a millionaire’s yacht in Porto Montenegro Montenegrin and even under a tree in the Park Turkish Taksim Gezi at a time when there were protests.

When Anna arrived in Australia, it was so cold that fish was in a sleeping bag.

Anna traveled for almost free: “I had to pay only a few times. For example, the border guards in Turkmenistan and China has not allowed me to pass between two checkpoints to enter the country until I paid for a border bus.”

First, she caught the machine, but then had the courage to do it alone: “I promised myself I wouldn’t do it, but the car stopped much faster, and the locals willingly helped me”. Of course, these facilities had to pay for the security.

“It happened that I was stuck on the road to God knows where or found themselves in awkward situations with men. I suddenly was showing dick, touched knees or are not released from the machine. But I never suffered because I remained calm and spoke to the drivers — sometimes threatened them with pepper spray.

I don’t think it was a bad men. They probably just made the wrong conclusions from the fact that I’m a woman and hitchhiking alone. I hope they will learn from their mistakes. No this case is not repulsed me hunting autostoppisti, and 99% of the trips were just beautiful.”

In Iran and other Muslim countries Anna had most of the problems encountered with the men.

But Anna claims that at the same time, in this part of the world showed “incredible hospitality and kindness”: “I will Never forget as we were travelling with Iranians and British Pakistani. Every time we were on the road at night, we had to find a mosque to sleep. We behaved respectfully and only slept on the carpet, where the local put shoes. The longest move of Anna lasted seven months — it was a road from Malaysia to Australia by boat. She joined the crew, learning that the Australian captain wants the team to get home. “I was looking for a boat to get to Australia, so we were made for each other”.

From Australia Anna flew in a helicopter. Here’s how she did it: “I went to a Charter company in Western Australia and told them about myself. Looking at the path that I did, they agreed to give me a ride. I only had to wait until the place. 45 minutes is nothing compared to the hours that I usually spent on the road.

Anna plans to return to French Polynesia and to travel around the Tuamotu and Marquesas Islands, and there to write a memoir about his journey.
