Five-year-old Briton, whom police fined for selling lemonade on the street, has received dozens of offers to trade for various events.
The incident took place in East London. The girl’s father – a Professor at the business school allowed daughter to put a table and sell drinks near the Lovebox festival.
They were approached by four police officers and fined father and daughter for trading without a license. The local Council then apologized and canceled the fine.
Andre Spicer said his daughter has since received many offers to sell lemonade from a variety of festivals and fairs. “We are shocked by the reaction people from around the world,” wrote the family on Twitter.
“Quite seriously – wouldn’t want your daughter to sell lemonade at borough market (one of the oldest grocery Ermakov of London – ed.)? We would be happy to arrange it for her,” wrote the father of the girl Twitter account borough-market.
