In recent years the trade turnover between the two countries declined due to the political crisis in Ukraine.
The free trade agreement between Ukraine and Turkey will be signed before the end until the end of this year. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of economy of Turkey Fatih Metin at the meeting of the Association of Turkish businessmen in Ukraine (TUID) in Kiev.
The free trade agreement between Turkey and Ukraine is at the development stage, but the parties have already agreed on most points of the document, said Metin.
According to him, negotiations on the agreement be delayed due to the large difference in the cost of goods of industrial production in Ukraine and Turkey.
Metin also said that in recent years the trade turnover between the two countries declined due to the political crisis in Ukraine. “But Turkey and Ukraine has enough potential for the growth of bilateral trade,” said the Turkish official.
