A physicist could determine the exact number and day.
End of the Soviet communications satellite “Molniya 1-44”, weighing about 1.5 tons, most likely, will enter the dense layers of the atmosphere and falls to Earth on October 25. This was stated by the French astronomer Joseph Remy, specializing in the calculation of the falling space objects.
According to him, are published on Western astronomical sites, it is assumed that debris was launched in late July 1979, a spacecraft will crash in the South Atlantic about 500 km West of Rio de Janeiro.
Last week, experts at the American space Agency NASA has provided few other details: they said that the communication satellite “Molniya 1-44” may fall on 20 October. However, due to the large size it will not fully burn in dense layers of the atmosphere. The exact place of falling they are not yet able to determine.
In November is also expected to fall of the Soviet satellite “Kosmos-1345”, launched in 1982, which weighs in at 1.7 tons.
