The foreign Ministry gave advice to Ukrainians gathered on vacation to Indonesia in the period of the earthquakes.
Due to the powerful earthquake in Indonesia and the continuing possibility of further aftershocks, the foreign Ministry recommends closely monitor for reports of the Indonesian authorities on the development of seismic situation.
In addition, the foreign Ministry recommends citizens to follow these tips:
if during aftershocks citizens are in the building, he must quickly leave, not using elevators;
to keep a safe distance from high-rise buildings, not be located under power lines, trees, utilities, bridges and overpasses;
constantly keep documents and money, have ready the necessary things (medicines, foods, hygiene products), to be able to quickly leave the room;
strictly follow the instructions of local authorities, heads of the emergency services, commanders of rescue teams for safety measures in the disaster area;
to be in a safe place, to move only proven routes (in any case not alone) and take into account weather conditions and forecast.
As reported, the earthquake on the Indonesian Islands of Lombok and Bali killed at least 142 people, 200 more got wounds. The operation to rescue people joined the army of Indonesia.
Sunday evening on the Indonesian island of Lombok, an earthquake of magnitude 6.9. After that, according to the Indonesian meteorological, climatological and geophysical Agency, there were more than 120 of the repeated aftershocks that were felt in the neighbouring island of Bali.
