The first shipment of anthracite should come to the port of Odessa in three weeks.
American company XCoal was sent to Ukraine the first batch of thermal coal by volume of 85 thousand tons. It is reported by the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States.
Shipment of anthracite to Ukraine began in the framework of the agreement between the Ukrainian state-owned company Centrenergo and American XCoal Energy and Resources.
The first batch should arrive in the port of Odessa in three weeks. XCoal plans to supply to Ukraine is about 700 thousand tons of anthracite.
At the end of July Centrenergo concluded with XСoal supply contract until the end of 2017 700 thousand tons of scarce coal of anthracitic group.
Earlier, the energy Ministry has developed a clear schedule of transfer units for the gas group of coal. According to the Minister Igor Nasalik, this will allow by the end of 2019 to abandon the use of anthracite.
