The Ministry of Finance estimates the cost of activities related to preparations for the census, 2 244 420,6 thousand.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Finance.
“The Ministry of economic development and trade as the main Manager of means of the state budget (for state statistics), for the implementation of activities related to the preparation for the census and the repayment of the debt of the state statistics of the past years, additionally in 2018 111 060,7 thousand hryvnia, in 2019 – 113 590,5 thousand hryvnia, in 2020 – 019 2 769,4 thousand hryvnias”, – is spoken in the message.
All-Ukrainian census of the population, in accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of 9 April 2008 No. 581, should be conducted in 2020.
We will remind, the first and the last census in independent Ukraine was conducted in 2001. Then the population of the country accounted for 48,457 million people. Prior to that, Ukrainians are “copied” back in the USSR in 1989.The government planned nationwide census in 2011. It was subsequently postponed first to 2012, then 2013, then 2014, then 2016-th year. In December 2015 the fifth time the government has postponed holding a national census is in 2020.
