The Federal air transport Agency warned about the possible suspension of Charter flights to Turkey

Possible ban associated with the aggravation of the situation in Turkey after the constitutional referendum.

The Russian airline received from the Federal air transport Agency a telegram warning of a possible suspension of Charter flights to Turkish airports.

It is reported by Kommersant, citing a source in tour operator company.

According to the source, the decision can be made due to complex political situation in Turkey. Information publication also confirmed a source in the Federal air transport Agency.

However, the Association of tour operators of Russia said that such a ban “at the moment”, and suggested that we are talking about possible warnings in case in connection with political events in Turkey, on 16 April, “the situation there will go on a negative scenario, there will be some tension.”

Russian airlines do not fly to Turkey from the end of November 2015. The ban imposed after the Turkish military shot down a Russian su-24 on the border with Syria. According to Ankara, the aircraft violated the airspace of Turkey, despite numerous warnings. The defense Ministry denied this information, claiming that the aircraft were over Syria.
