The most difficult situation – in the Zaporizhia and Odessa regions.
Before the next anniversary of the Maidan on the South and East of Ukraine is growing protest activity. This will try to use the Kremlin to undermine the situation through the local Pro-Russian business groups.
This opinion was expressed in his Facebook group coordinator “Information resistance”, MP Dmitry Tymchuk.
According to “Information resistance”, the most difficult situation in Zaporozhye and Odessa areas, but each with its own characteristics.
“In Kiev the situation is serious but stable, there is a risk of becoming a “new Donbass” due to the total dominance of one business-political group. It is from here you can start to play the card of “social protests”, “rebuilding ties with Russia”, etc. It is here that revisionist agenda can be demonstrated most clearly”, – the expert believes.
At the same time, according to Tymchuk, Kharkiv region compared to the rest looks relatively calm, the situation there is controlled better through the work of the security forces and regional authorities. Looks good, Dnipropetrovsk region, despite a noticeable presence of anti-Ukrainian forces.
“In Odessa due to the presence of competing factions, the situation steadily restless… It is at Odessa, we urge you to pay special attention. Because there have been superimposed a number of factors that may use to drive external power”, – underlined he.
“On the one hand, there is sincere outrage of citizens who do not believe in coincidence of a series of fires in the beach area, concerned about the fate of the Green theatre, strongly opposed the possible development of the City garden etc. on the other hand, has a notorious mayor, and not less odious, the developer of Syrian origin who find out among themselves relations. And due to the fact that the mayor is absolutely deserved – criticism is Pro-Ukrainian-minded and active citizens, that is, attempts by opposing the mayor groups to use these protests for their own purposes, which have little to do with the purpose of stabilization of the situation in Odessa. And more associated with an attempt to protect themselves from unpleasant questions from the security forces in the address”, – Tymchuk writes.
In General, experts predict that on the anniversary of the Maidan will be a surge of activity and ordinary citizens who are unhappy with the situation, and those politicians who try to earn points by discrediting the government.
“From new – we see preparations for the deployment actions, the prelude to which will be a kind of “summing up” for 4 years in the style of the discredit under slogans like “galloped on the Maidan”, with the subsequent revival of revanchist networks under socio-economic slogans with an eye on elections”, – he explained.
