The sanctions relate to the ban on entry into the EU and freezing the assets of 82 individuals and one institution.
The European Union has extended for one year restrictive measures against Iran, imposed in response to violation of human rights.
This decision was made on Tuesday, the Council of the EU.
“The EU Council has extended until April 14, 2018 restrictive measures in response to serious violations of human rights in Iran,” said a leading institution.
In effect also remains a prohibition of exports to Iran equipment that can be used for internal repression, as well as monitoring of telecommunications.
