The European Union appreciates the progress in reforms in Ukraine

Tusk said that “anti-corruption reforms should remain a priority”.

The head of the European Council Donald Tusk said that the EU appreciates the progress in reforms in Ukraine.

He said this at a briefing on the outcome of the 20th summit Ukraine – EU, which took place on Monday in Brussels.

“The European Union recognizes the serious promotion, which Ukraine undertook to implement reforms. Last year the Ukrainian government has initiated a number of reforms, including the reform of the pension sector and health care, which will be difficult in the short term, but in the long run will make Ukraine stronger,” – said Tusk.

The head of the European Council also noted the adoption of a law that will allow to create in Ukraine the anti-corruption court. “We welcome the recent law on establishing the Higher anti-corruption court and wait on the adoption of the amendments, which are necessary for the proper operation of the court. Anti-corruption reforms should remain a priority agenda of Ukraine”, – said Tusk.

We will remind, at the end of June in Copenhagen hosted the second international conference on reforms in Ukraine.
