Europe believes that a referendum in Catalonia – an internal matter of Spain.
The European Commission has approved a referendum on Catalan independence is illegal, and arising in connection with this situation an internal affair of Spain. This is referred to in the statement of the European Commission, which it received on Monday, October 2.
