The European Commission launched the second stage of the penal process in relation to the Polish authorities for judicial reform in the country.
In Brussels, criticized the recent judicial reform in the country. The adopted law provides for the right of the Minister of justice to remove the chairmen and replace them with other candidates.
The European Commission requires from Poland to abolish innovations in the field of judicial cooperation or to bring them into line with EU standards.
In late July, Poland was given one month to comply with the requirements of the European Commission. There warned, if this happens, the Brussels office filed a complaint against Warsaw in the European court. Then Poland will face a large fine.
By this time the Polish authorities have not changed their policies. Therefore, the European Commission opened the second stage of the penalty procedure against Poland.
