France and Germany are trying to tighten the relationship of the “two poles”.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel macron during a telephone conversation discussed the tightening of EU sanctions against the DPRK.
This was reported on the website of the German government.
According to Macron and Merkel, “in addition to the measures from the UN Security Council need more action by the European Union”. The leaders “strongly condemned” the DPRK’s actions, the latest “provocation dictator in Pyongyang has reached a new dimension”, says the report.
Merkel and macron said that North Korea violated international law, in connection with which the international community “must respond to another escalation.”
The DPRK, on 3 September announced the successful testing of a warhead with a thermonuclear charge intended for equipping Intercontinental ballistic missiles.
