The US and the EU have a common position on the conflict in Ukraine, however, different opinions hold regarding the relations with Russia. This was stated by the President of the European Council Donald Tusk after talks with the American President Donald trump.
He noted that he and the President agreed to the military counter-violence and further relations.
The two sides also discussed foreign policy, security, climate and trade relations and agreed on many issues, primarily on combating terrorism.
“But some questions remain open, such as climate and trade. And I’m not 100% sure that we have a common position, the General opinion against Russia, although when it comes to the conflict in Ukraine, it seems that we were on the same level,” Tusk underlined.
