Dog named Sally in the morning came to the kitchen and coughed. He was not sick and wanted to stay home.
This story was shared by the owner of a dog Kennedy outside Longhirst.
She told me that Sally was making weird noises: coughing, wheezing and choking. She called her husband to come home to look after the dog, and she at this time found the manual cardiopulmonary resuscitation in dogs.
But when her husband Kennedy Alex arrived, Sally was acting perfectly normal, wagging her tail and playing. The couple stayed at home to look after the pet. Despite the fact that it is during the day a little cough, his General condition was normal.
The next morning, when Alex was going to work, the situation repeated itself, Sally began to cough again. Then they decided to take the dog to the vet.
The vet did some tests, including for kennel cough, which showed that the dog is completely healthy.
The doctor prescribed antibiotics, to be safe, but the reasons for their admission were not.
“The doctor was puzzled,” says Kennedy. The vet said that animals sometimes simulate the disease that they have paid more attention or were treated to treats.
“We baby him too and he probably realized that if he behaves strangely, then it will spend a whole day,” she summed up.
Professor of cognitive science, University of Pittsburgh Colin Allen, says that Sally didn’t cheat their masters, and were just repeating habitual actions.
But still, if your animal behaves unusually, you should consult a specialist.
