Herbal teas have many beneficial properties and can be harmful mainly because of its natural components. The danger gives them the wrong collection when it contains poisonous weeds. Independent organization in Germany, the quality testing of products and household goods, Stiftung Warentest tested the 64 types of herbal teas and came to a disappointing conclusion.
According to research, safe is only half of the herbal teas. Mainly in this category consists of tea from peppermint and fennel. And chamomile tea and herbal blends are often hazardous to health. Toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids of several are normally in herbal tea along with weeds such as Ragwort that produce harmful substances to combat eating their animals.
Periodic consumption of herbal tea contaminated pyrrolizidine alkaloids, the great danger to health is not. However, regular intake of these substances leads to poisoning of the liver and can cause cancer.
