The premiere will be held in September at the Frankfurt motor show.
The novelty will be the second model from the German carmaker, created on a modular platform MQB A0. The use of the new architecture will reduce the mass of the car, but to make the cabin more spacious.
Volkswagen Polo will be offered with a new multimedia complex with a large touchscreen display, interfaces support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is not excluded that the top version will get an automatic a Park Pilot and a fully digital dashboard.
Presumably, in the engine range will include three-cylinder petrol units working volume of one liter capacity from 65 to 115 HP, which will replace the old 1.2-liter engines. Also will be supercharged “four” with a volume of 1.5 liters with the system deactivated some of its cylinders under light loads, developing 130 or 150 HP
In the list of engines will include 1.6-liter units with a capacity of 80, 95 and probably 110 horsepower. Transmission – five-speed and six-speed “mechanics” and semileptonic “robot” DSG.
