The Tibetan spiritual leader admired by the citizens of Ukraine.
On 25 September during the open seminar on Buddhism in Riga, the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama said that he admired the Ukrainians.This was stated by the Chairman of the Board, Alliance “New energy of Ukraine” Valery Borovik.
According to him, at a mass event dedicated to Buddhist philosophy and self-knowledge, time was allotted for questions. Borovik took the opportunity to appeal to the Dalai Lama and asked him “to say something for Ukrainians.”
The Tibetan spiritual leader said unexpectedly: “I admire the determination of Ukrainians!” Borovik said that first of all, the Dalai Lama had in mind the determination with which the citizens of Ukraine have rebuffed the Russian aggression.
According to Borovik, after this sentence, there was applause and immediately after the event he was approached by a group of Russians are assured that do not support the policy of the Kremlin concerning Ukraine and completely on the side of Ukrainians.
Borovik also said that the visit of the Dalai Lama in Riga led me to think about the possibility of organizing such meetings in Kiev. According to him, the first steps for this have already been made.
