Fraudsters came up with a new way to steal your money.
Cyber police warned the Ukrainian about the fact that there is a new type of fraud with Bank cards, the press service of the Ministry of internal Affairs.
The report said that the scammers, replacing the first three digits of the phone number of operations.
Scammers are spreading a text message under the guise of banking institutions, which inform about blocking cards in this offer to “unlock” it. It is necessary to call on specified in SMS phone numbers.
During a call, the cardholder is obligated to point out the fraudsters, posing as employees of the banking institution, information on Bank card number, CVV code, password, Internet banking and other data.
After getting necessary information, withdraw all his savings from the Bank card, transferring them to other Bank accounts.
The cyber-police have asked for recommendations to the citizens of Ukraine and asked not to tell strangers their data. In case you receive such an SMS message, it is recommended to call the Bank.
It is worth noting that scammers use numbers of different mobile operators and fixed-line phones.
In the police report that geolocation most of the phone numbers that are used by criminals located on the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
