Iranian authorities have initiated a criminal case against the Creator of the messenger Telegram.
The Prosecutor of Tehran Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi said that the messenger used by the militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia). In addition, Iran is concerned about the popular Telegram among distributors of drugs and pornography, and traffickers.
The publication notes that the actor does not live in Iran, so it is unclear how the authorities intend to bring him to justice.
He Durov wrote in his Twitter that he was surprised when he learned about the criminal case. He believes that the real reason for the hostile attitude of the Iranian government lies in the other.
According to him, the command Telegram daily blocks more than thousands of channels, chat bots with pornographic or extremist content.
