Studio Disney made a short statement in which it announced that Lucasfilm and Director Colin Trevorrow have decided to stop working. Cash Creator of the hit “Jurassic World” will not remove the ninth episode of “Star wars”, which were assigned earlier.
The reason, as usual, are in the field of creative differences. The official statement did not go into details, but earlier it was reported that Trevorrow was unhappy with the script of the film and talked about it constantly, resulting in soured relations with the leadership. In addition, such developments could be affected by the failure of the last film – “Henry’s Book”. The picture and the critics are not particularly liked, and rentals made mediocre.
The premiere of the film “Star wars: Episode IX” is scheduled for may 24, 2019, the shooting was supposed to start in early 2018. The name of the new Director yet to be named, but insiders are saying about the high probability of treatment for people that have already proven themselves in this series. To stand at the helm of the ninth episode can Ryan Johnson (“the Last Jedi”) or J. J. Abrams (“the force Awakening”).
We will remind that it not the first case when “Star wars” lose Director. In summer, due to the same creative differences of the spin-off about young Han Solo left Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. And even before “Outlaw-Single” had to bring to mind Tony Gilroy, because Garrett Edwards Studio were not happy.
In General, it is not easy to work in a galaxy far far away. Let the Force wil be with those brave souls who still dare to try.
