The court in Warsaw sentenced the lawyer to 4 years of prison for espionage in favor of Russia

The district court in Warsaw sentenced the lawyer Stanislav W. to four years of imprisonment for espionage in favor of Russia.

The owner of the Russian and Polish citizenship Stanislav sh. pleaded not guilty in the case, in which he faces one to 10 years imprisonment. The defense asked for an acquittal, the prosecution six years in prison.

In the materials stated that the man was involved in the activities of Russian military intelligence, the GRU, to the detriment of Poland.

Stanislav S. was arrested in October 2014. The trial commenced in September 2016, It was held in specially secured premises of the court for appearing in fact important interests of the state and use of materials relating to the law on the protection of classified materials.
