Obolonskiy district court of Kiev will begin the trial of former President Viktor Yanukovych in fact on June 26.

The former President is accused of treason (part 1 of article 111 of the criminal code), aiding separatism (part 5, article 27, part 3 of article 110 of the criminal code) and aiding in waging aggressive war (part 5, article 27, part 2 of article 437 of the criminal code).
The prosecution will ask for life sentence for Yanukovych.
