The course of Bitcoin fever

The value of Bitcoin rolls from side to side.

Only recently it seemed that the first and most popular cryptocurrency in the world forgot about the brakes. However, after his next record the value of Bitcoin (bitcoin) have fallen by $3 thousand

On the night of 7 on 8 December, the weighted average bitcoin exchange rate reached its new historical maximum at $18 353 per coin. However, several hours later, the price of cryptocurrency has dramatically fallen by almost $3 thousand to $15.4 thousand

Later, the bitcoin attempted to win back losses and rose above $17.2 thousand, after which the rate again went down to the time of writing ranged slightly above the $15.8 thousand.

Recall that only yesterday morning, bitcoin was close to $15 thousand, which was a new record in the cryptocurrency at the time.

Such surges of bitcoin have raised concerns of the stock market, whose attention is still drawn to the imminent launch of futures trading on the Chicago Mercantile exchange (CME Group Inc), Cboe Global Markets Inc., who manages by Chicago Board options exchange (Chicago Board Options Exchange CBOE), and Tokyo Financial Exchange. At the same time, participants of the latter are JPMorgan Chase and Barclays Bank.

Some investors believe that the launch of futures on bitcoin will limit the jump in its value, as it will give traders the ability to hedge, i.e. to insure the risks of its positions in the currency.

CME had previously announced the launch of futures on 18 December, and this week promised to launch futures trading for bitcoin on December 10.
