Russia’s Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak, whose name was mentioned in investigations of the relations of the American President Donald trump, retired from this post, has informed a press-Secretary Nikolay Lakhonin.
“The twenty-second of July, Ambassador Sergey Ivanovich Kislyak has completed his mission in Washington. Before the arrival of his successor functions chargé d’affaires of the Russian Federation in USA will be done by a Counsellor Denis Vladimirovich Gonchar”, – said Lahonin.
Kislyak be a Senator in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation from the Republic of Mordovia and to take the post of Chairman of the Committee on international Affairs.
The position of Russian Ambassador to US Kislyak has held since 2008.
The name of Sergei Kislyak repeatedly mentioned in connection with the investigation of the relations of politicians close to the administration trump with Russia.
In particular, on his meetings with Kislyak, filling out paperwork for security clearance to classified information, silent Minister of justice and the U.S. attorney General Jeff sessions.
