Kiev authorities gave the bar owners three days to paint the portrait of the drug Lord.
The city authorities have reacted to the scandal with the use in advertising of the image of drug Lord Pablo Escobar, one of the institutions of the city. The bar was given three days to eliminate the provocative image of a known criminal. Comments about this in Facebook said the Deputy mayor on issues of self-government Alexey Reznikov.
After the wave of indignation in social networks, employees of city hall went to Pablo EspressoBar and recorded the violation.
“The content of this advertising violates the provisions of the law of Ukraine “On advertising”, namely article 8 “In advertising, it is prohibited to place the image of an individual or to use his name without the written consent of that person” and section 3 of article 7 “Advertising shall not contain information or images that violate the ethical, humanistic, moral standards, ignores rules of propriety,” wrote Reznikov.
In case of failure the owners of the bar to eliminate violations of the State service for food safety and consumer protection Kiev is obliged to take appropriate measures, wrote Reznikov.
