“In accordance with paragraph 1 of part 1 of article 149 with the icon 1 of the Constitution of Ukraine, June 3 Yuri Baulin stopped powers of the judge of the constitutional court of Ukraine in connection with the completion of the term of office”, – reported in the LCP.
Thus in a press-service of the court stated: “on 4 June, in accordance with article 22 of the law “On the constitutional court of Ukraine” judge Victor Kryvenko assumed duties as head of the court as the senior judge.”
Yurii Baulin was elected Chairman of the COP on the results of the secret ballot on 18 March 2014. In February 2008 he was appointed a judge of the COP, and in November 2011 he was elected Deputy Chairman of the COP.
A three-year term of office on the post of the Chairman of the constitutional court expired on 18 March 2017, after which Baulin continued to perform the duties of the head of the court as the eldest.
