The company complains about the depletion of producing fields and asks for a new one to increase production.
The exploited deposits are depleted to the subsidiary, which will become harder to increase production of gas. However, four months of 2019 the volume of production made up of 5.14 billion cubic meters, which is 2.7% more than in the same period last year. This reports the press service of Ukrhazvydobuvannia.
It is noted that the company increases the amount of work intensification in existing depleted fields to increase production of Ukrainian gas.
“As of the end of April performed 60 operations on hydraulic fracturing, which is four times higher than in the same period last year. But because of the constant pressure drop in deposits is more difficult to cover the natural decline and to achieve significant production growth from intensification,” say the company.
The company believes that to increase production the company needs to obtain deposits that are in the early and middle stages of development with initial pressures.
