The opposition against
Moscow authorities agreed to conduct the campaign in support of unregistered candidates to Majordomo August 10, on Sakharov Avenue.
“Received the application for holding a rally: on August 10 — four applications, on August 11 — two notifications. Today a group of citizens and organized by Elena Rusakova agreed to hold a rally on Prospekt Akademika Sakharova 10 numbers from 14:00 to 16:00 with the installation of bleachers at the house 9 on Sakharov Avenue. The agreed number of participants to 100 thousand people” — leads TASS words of the first Deputy head of the Moscow Department of regional security Vasily Oleynik.
However, the opposition claim that the agreement with the city authorities could not be reached. “The mayor’s office again issued an urgent press release about the alleged agreement of the rally on Sakharov Avenue (now on the 10th August) — what a lie! The second time the same layout; all in order to dilute the agenda and to divert attention,” he wrote on Twitter ally Alexei Navalny Leonid Volkov.
The same position was voiced by the applicant for the action and the unregistered candidate for Deputy of the Moscow city Duma Elena Rusakova.
Earlier, representatives of the libertarian party asked to agree on holding a rally on Lubyanka square on 3 August, but city hall with this option disagreed, proposing to hold the event at the Sakharov Avenue. The organizers of this option did not suit, and they withdrew the application.
