Threatening to blow up one of the branches of “Ukrposhta” in Kharkov Vladimir Earless claims that he did not want to take people hostage. He stated this today, December 31, in the Kiev district court of Kharkov.
As is known, the court should take the measure of restraint for the Earless. The Prosecutor insists on arrest for a period of 60 days.
“The investigation says that police of the hostages were released. Not true, I didn’t want to take them hostage at all. Let the children, wives, grandmothers, I don’t know what he (the hostage) get the jump on me”, – quotes Earless edition of “MediaPort”.
Recall, December 30, Vladimir Earless seized office “Ukrpochta” near metro station “Kiev” in Odessa. The speaker of the National police of Ukraine Yaroslav was Trakalo reported that the man has explosives.
Hostage in the Department of “Ukrposhta” were 9 adults and two children. Later, the offender was released, according to official figures, five people – three women and two children.
In turn, people’s Deputy Anton Gerashchenko said that the main goal of the offender was not a hostage situation, and armed robbery of the post office.
The police chief of Kharkiv region Oleh Bech argued that the demands of the invader associated with Ukrainian hostages, not released from captivity of fighters on Donbass.
Militiamen opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 147 of the Criminal code (hostage-taking), to the malefactor threatens till 15 years of imprisonment.
