The Constitution of Ukraine says that Ukrainian must have only one nationality.
Deputy Minister in the temporarily occupied territories Yury Grymchak said that the Ukrainian government is planning to deprive residents of the occupied territories of Ukrainian citizenship for a Russian passport.
According Grymchaka, the issuance of Russian passports to residents “LDNR” aims to destabilize the situation and to legalize kolaborantov.
“The Constitution of Ukraine says that Ukrainian must have only one citizenship – the citizenship of Ukraine, so the people who will receive or receive the citizenship of the Russian Federation can lose the citizenship of Ukraine, and I think it will have to do is to cancel the passports of Ukraine, passport of a foreign, domestic and so on,” he added.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its decisive protest in connection with the operation on the territory of the Rostov region centers of issuing Russian passports to residents of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine. Ukraine declares that such actions by Russia violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
