By the end of the current year it is expected the tendering process for the issuing of 4G licenses.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on August 18 has made changes in the Plan of use of radio frequency resource of Ukraine. In particular, the decision on spectrum harmonization for mobile communication systems of the fourth generation in the range of 1800 MHz.
As the press service of the State, the opening of the 1800 MHz band for implementation of wireless technologies 4G will stimulate the development of domestic telecommunications, digital economy.
By the end of the current year it is expected the tendering process for the issuing of 4G licenses. Expected revenues to the state budget will be at least 3,975 billion, state office.
The amendments also resolve the issue of harmonisation of spectrum devices short range (medical radioplant, the device for measuring the fill level of closed tanks, automotive radar, road safety, etc.).
On 4 July the Cabinet agreed the minimum cost of licenses to run communications for 4G in the 2600 MHz band at the level of 2.3 billion UAH.
May 11 at the session of the government, Vladimir Groisman said that the draft decree on radio frequencies, which is in his signature, could hide corruption.
In Kyivstar to this stated that the launch date of the 4G connection will be minimized in the case of using the 1800 MHz band.
