For the government to regulate the cost of gas residential customers with transportation and distribution.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine established a formula for calculating the cost of gas residential customers and religious institutions, taking into account the cost of transportation and distribution of gas.
The relevant document on the adjustment of the resolution of Cabinet of Ministers No. 187 of March 22, 2017 (special obligation, PSO) is adopted at the government meeting on Wednesday.
According to the text, the cost of gas residential customers will be determined as the sum of the wholesale prices of used gas, costs of delivery, transportation and distribution of gas. The latter two components should be based on tariffs set by the National Commission, carrying out state regulation in spheres of power and utilities (NKREKU).
Earlier, operators of gas distribution networks (oblgases) and suppliers of gas speculatively (PSO) has appealed to President, Prime Minister and head of the national Commission with the request to resolve the legal vacuum in the matter of payment for gas and its distribution, arising after the cancellation of the decision of the energy regulator about the introduction of a fee for the distribution of gas.
NKREKU 28 March 2017 adopted the decision on the commissioning fee for the distribution of gas. The new system involves the separation of tariffs for transportation and distribution from the price of gas as a commodity.
However, on 10 April, the national Commission reversed its decision on the introduction of a fee for the distribution of gas for finalization. However, the decision to abolish the license fee is still not officially released, have not taken effect yet.
