In the center of Nikolaev in the evening on 8 July, there was a conflict with a shootout in which died one of the participants of the incident. Two more people are in the hospital.

The shooting happened on the lawn at the intersection of Cathedral street (Soviet) and Admiralty. Three victims were men nonwhite 29, 31 and 44. Two gunshot wounds to the thigh and lower leg. The third was diagnosed with a head injury, wound in the forehead and legs. Not regaining consciousness, he died in the hospital.
The causes of the accident are still unknown. The parties to the conflict are not addressed to the police statements.
Law enforcement officers found at the scene a foreign-made pistol and seven empty cases. It is also reported that one of the bullets hit the car, which was parked nearby.
On this fact openly criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 121 (deliberate heavy injury, entailed death). The sanction assumes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to ten years.
