The average salary (before taxes) in Latvia to 2018 amounted to 1004 euros. This was 8.4 percent more than in 2017, reports Delfi.
According to the Central statistical management of the country, in the private sector the average gross salary in 2018 amounted to 991 euros in the public sector — 1032 euros.
Average net salary (after taxes) last year was in the Baltic Republic 742 euros. It is noted that wages grew in all sectors and in health care (15.9%).
Last year, the highest wages were in the financial and insurance industry in 1991 euros.
