English writer Michael bond, the author of a series of books about Paddington bear, has died at the age of 91.
According to his publisher Harper Collins, the writer died at his home in London after a short illness.
Writing stories, Michael bond began in 1945, the first of them was published in the magazine London Opinion. His first book, the writer published in 1958, this was the story of Paddington bear. Then, bond worked as a cameraman on Bi-bi-si.
Since then, bond wrote a further 19 books about Paddington.
In 1997 he received the Order of the British Empire for her contribution to children’s literature.
The books about Paddington bear are sold around the world circulation of more than 35 million copies.
In 1975 was filmed animated series about the bear Paddington.
In 2014, Director Paul king made the film “the adventures of Paddington”, box-office takings of more than 288 million dollars.
