The chief astronomer of the American Institute SETI Seth Shostak is confident that we are at a distance of only a few decades confirm the existence of intelligent alien life.
According to the scientist, intelligent life will be able to find for 20 years.
The representative of the Institute of search for extraterrestrial life (SETI) believes that even in our milky Way galaxy there are enough planets that can be inhabited. But Seth Shostak noticed that finding microbial life are much simpler than a reasonable form of aliens.
“We can find microbial life – about so what you can find in the corners of your bathroom. We can find her soon. So it’s going to happen, I think, in the course of your life,” said Seth Shostak.
It is highly likely that microbial life not only on Earth but elsewhere in the solar system. In particular, Mars and the moons of Jupiter: Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.
“Within our system there are at least seven such places. Seven places where there might be microbial life. They are all from us at almost arm’s length. It remains only to take a rocket to reach them,” – said Shostak.
