The American in Iran is condemned for 10 years

A foreign citizen suspected of espionage in favor of USA.

In Iran, an American was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of espionage.

The prisoner: a 37-year-old researcher from Princeton University. According to the authorities of Iran, it sought to collect “very confidential” article for American and British universities, as well as the US state Department.

The verdict of the man can be appealed.

Iran said that before his arrest the US citizen was in the process of digital archiving 4500 documents.

Earlier, the United States deported to Moscow, convicted of spying for the Russians.
