The Antimonopoly Committee has fined mobile operator lifecell 19.5 million hryvnia.
According to the head of AMKU Yury Terentyev on Facebook, in lifecell is reported on per second billing, but actually removed the cost of the whole minutes for the first second of each minute.
In the spring of 2017, the Committee reported that according to the rules of provision of telecommunications services, it is possible to charge only a complete unit (seconds, kilobytes). The corresponding decision of the Cabinet of Ministers approved in its resolution No. 295 dated 11.04.2012.
The AMC concluded that the actions of some mobile operators, including lifecell, there is evidence of violations of legislation on protection from unfair competition (article 15 of the relevant law).
