Village pub took first place in the prestigious ranking.
The family-owned pub in the city of Olmsted, the County of North Yorkshire, in the North-East of the UK was recognized as the best restaurant in the world according to travellers. The winner was determined based on millions of reviews on the site over the last year.
Prosperous is run by brothers Tommy and James banks, and they took matters into their own hands at 17 and 19 years respectively. Four years ago Tommy at the age of 24 became the youngest in the UK Michelin-starred.
A small pub Black Swan walked around the restaurants such famous British chefs, like Heston Blumenthal and Raymond Blanc.
“It is a great honour to receive this award. Really exceptional and it makes that the winner was determined according to our customers,” thanked Tommy banks.
TripAdvisor stated that their award is unique because it is based on the opinion of visitors, not separate small groups of judges.
In the description on the website about the pub Black Swan said, “the journey of taste sensations. This restaurant is truly a box of delights. Tastes, the combination of ingredients and the skill with which the prepared meal — all this brings unprecedented joy and pleasure.”
Tasting menu in the pub Black Swan is 95 pounds per person.
Most of the ingredients for dishes that the brothers grow in the garden.
