In the U.S. state of Minnesota got in a car accident self-driving car, Tesla, RBC reports with reference to Bloomberg. In result of road accident five people suffered.
The owner of the car, 58-year-old Dave Clark stated that the accident occurred after he activated the autopilot. After that, Tesla 2016 release accelerated sharply, flew off the road and overturned.
At this point the car was Sam Clark and four passengers. They all received minor injuries. The press service of Tesla announced that the company is investigating the incident in cooperation with the local authorities.
“We haven’t figured out whether there was in the time of the accident activated the autopilot function of the vehicle. There is no reason to believe that the autopilot, which, as acknowledged by NHTSA [the National Directorate of traffic safety on the roads] reduces the accident rate by 40 percent, worked problem,” said the company.
According to Bloomberg, amid reports about the accident, the value of the shares of the company Elon musk has dropped by 4.4%.
