The number of victims increased.
Russian authorities reported an increase in the number of victims of a bus accident with builders that crashed in the Kerch Strait in Krasnodar Krai of Russia. At least 18 people were killed. According to local rescuers and doctors, more than 30 people were taken to hospital, seven of them in serious condition.
Russia’s investigative Committee reported that the accident occurred at eight in the morning of August 25 when a bus transporting workers involved in the construction of a pier belonging to JSC “Tamanneftegas”.
According to EMERCOM of Russia, the bus overturned and fell into the sea. Currently, the vehicle is raised out of the water, the cause of the accident to find out.
Russian investigators opened a criminal case under article about violation of traffic rules, as well as providing services not meeting safety requirements.
The incident occurred in the village of Volna on the Taman Peninsula, where workers build a jetty for the oil and gas company “Tamanneftegaz”.
Russia is building a bridge that would connect the Taman Peninsula of Crimea, illegally anneksirovat it in 2014.
