Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko did not stay on the hard-court tournament in the United States.
Before going to the US Open, Tsurenko in the tournament series Premier “Connecticut Open” decided to test their readiness for the US Open. In the first round of the tournament in new haven the second racket of Ukraine met with experienced tennis player from Belgium Kirsten Flipkens, who is in the current WTA ranking place in the seventies.
Tsurenko failed the start of the match, waking only when the score was 0:5. Lesya was first defended his serve, took one back break, but in the eighth game, Flipkens stopped the comeback of the opponent.
Second set Tsurenko beginning with break, however the score was 2:0 lost five games in a row and more to win the match is not claimed.
Lesya Tsurenko poorly conducted preparation for the US Open tournaments in Toronto, Cincinnati and new haven Ukrainian athlete won only one match. In new York, Tsurenko will start from the 28th seeded and will protect glasses for an exit in 1/8 final.
