Ukrainian tennis player Sergiy Stakhovsky was unable to break through to the quarter-finals of a clay tournament in Budapest.
For his first quarterfinal of the season at the ATP Stakhovsky competed with sixth seeded Paolo Lorenzi, which is their best result this season shows just on the ground.
During the first set, Lorenzi repeatedly hinted to break Stakhovsky. In the ninth game, the Italian was rewarded for his persistence – Stakhovsky on
break point three times, punched a smash, but managed to lose the draw, and with it gave the first set.
In the second set, Sergiy qualitatively transformed, that immediately affected the course of the match. The Ukrainian break and led 3:0 and practically flawless game on his serve allowed Stakhovsky to translate the game for the final game.
The game was decided by an early break from Lorenzi – Italian led 3:0 in the fifth game played a double break-point and more chances Stakhovsky gave.
