Tennis in Ukrainian: Kozlov failed tournament in Kuala Lumpur

The fourth racket of the Ukraine’s Kateryna Kozlova quickly finished the fight in the tournament WTA International, with a prize Fund of $226,750.

In Malaysia Kozlov came in order to complete a protracted series of failures – in 2017 year, Catherine has not won a single match, consistently failing tournaments in Sydney, Taipei, Doha, Budapest and at the Australian Open.

Today, the Gantry had all the prerequisites for success – in the first round of the tournament in Kuala Lumpur, the Ukrainian met with the 131st player in the world Zhang Kai-Lin.

During the first set Kai-Lin has twice led with a break, but Kozlov was returning his serve. In the tiebreak, she was leading 4:2, however, failed to double several times in a row and was one step away from another defeat.

Second set Kozlova started with a breakthrough 2:0. Unfortunately, to build on their success Ukrainian failed. Kai-Lin has won six games in a row and sent Kozlov for the Board of the tournament.

The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina in Kuala Lumpur starts the match with Chan soo Jeong, and young Katarina Zavacka will debut on WTA tournaments match against Magda linette.
