An annual ranking of cities Cities in Motion Index at IESE business school is considered one of the most comprehensive in geographic coverage and volume of data processing.
The authors assess how the policies of urban development and implemented steps to improve the lives of citizens.
The rating is based on 10 key areas: Economics, technology, human capital, environment, degree of social cohesion, mobility and transportation, urban planning, administration and management.
In the list of the Cities in Motion Index came in 180 cities (73 of them are capitals), from 80 countries.
Berlin is the capital and largest city in Germany, second by population (after London) and the fifth area of the city of the European Union. Today Berlin is a world cultural center. It is a major European transport hub and one of the most visited cities on the continent. Universities, research institutes and museums of Berlin known all over the world.
